1. What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program helps you make money by allowing you to affiliate (associate) yourself with an existing website, and earn referral fees by referring visitors to the website. You have an opportunity to make money 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2. I have heard that some affiliate programs pay you just for referring visitors, and others only pay you if the visitor buys something. How does your affiliate program work?
Our affiliate program pays affiliates when visitors buy something. This can be the first time a visitor visits the site or up to one year later. The affiliate software we use is very sophisticated and does a great job of keeping track of visitors. (More about this below.)

3. Do I need to spend money to get started?
No, that’s what’s great about becoming an affiliate. Just sign up to become an affiliate and we will provide you with everything you need to get started. You could be earning money within hours.

4. How do you calculate referral fees?
Affiliates earn referral fees for every visitor they direct to our website that results in a sale. It does not matter whether visitors order online, pay by sending us a check, or by having their purchase billed to their phone bill.

Affiliates will also earn $8 for visitors that purchase “The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit” if the visitor was referred to our website by a sub-affiliate the affiliate signed up. (More about this below.)

6. Can I become an affiliate if I don’t have a website?
Yes, there are many ways you can refer users to our website without having your own website.

  • You can buy opt-in e-mail lists and send out professionally written e-mails we provide that emphasize the benefits of “The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit” course.
  • You can be a paid advertiser, or sponsor existing Internet newsletters (ezines), and point readers to our website.
  • Start a newsletter about something you are knowledgeable in or enjoy doing and include a section that talks about “The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit”.
  • Participate in newsgroups and forums by asking and answering questions. At the bottom of all your questions and answers make sure to include the unique website address we give you (the one with your affiliate ID at the end). This will refer readers to our website using your unique affiliate ID.

We will provide you with professionally developed e-mails, classified ads, and banners that work for each of the above methods.

Suggestion: Create a website that contains links to a variety of affiliate programs you are associated with, and explain why you are recommending the product or service. You will be surprised how much money you can make with very little effort.

7. What is the best way for me to promote your website?
Different things work differently for different people. We have had the greatest success promoting other websites by taking the time to understand the product or service, and endorse it as one we have used or would use.

8. How do you know if I refer a user to your site?
You will refer users to our website using a unique web address we assign to you. No other affiliate will have this web address. We create the address by combining www.newcreditfilesecrets.com with a unique identifier that will be your affiliate ID.

Example: http://www.newcreditfilesecrets.com/cgi-bin/34543 where 34543 represents a unique affiliate ID.

Using software, your affiliate ID will get stored in a cookie on the user's computer. Whether the user decides to purchase the first time they visit our site, or up to one year later, we look to see if they have a cookie. If they do, we read it to get your affiliate ID, and give you credit for the sale.

9. How do I know if I am successfully referring users to your site?
When you sign up to become an affiliate we will provide you with a user ID and password. You will use your user ID and password to log into the affiliate section of our website where you will be able to view how many users you have referred, and of those users, how many have bought "The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit.

10. After becoming an affiliate I wanted to test your tracking system so I visited your site 10 times using my unique website address. Then I logged into the affiliate section using my affiliate ID to see how many visitors I referred to your website, and it only showed one.
Actually, the affiliate software is doing what it is supposed to. In order for affiliates to receive accurate information on the number of visitors they refer to our site, the affiliate software checks to see if a visitor has already visited the site, and if they have, it does not count them again.

If the affiliate software counted repeat visitors, this would be very misleading for affiliates. Think about it, an affiliate may log in to check their stats and see that they referred 200 visitors to the site, but only 2 of them purchased product. By not counting repeat visitors, the affiliate software provides more accurate reporting.

11. I have several websites. Can I have more than one affiliate ID so that I know which of my sites are referring the most visitors to your website?
Yes, you may sign up to be an affiliate as many times as you want. Each time you sign up, provide a different ID. This will allow you to use different affiliate IDs when referring visitors to our website.

You don’t have to have several websites to use this functionality. You may want to do this if you refer visitors to our website from several different pages within the same website, or if you want to determine which e-mail campaigns are most effective.

12. How do I receive my commissions?
We calculate affiliate commissions on the first business day of every month, and send out checks within two business days.

13. What is a two-tier affiliate program?

A two-tier affiliate program is an affiliate program that pays referral fees two levels deep. What this means is that you can make money two ways . One way is to refer visitors to our site that end up buying "The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit". A second way is for you to refer visitors to our site that end up signing up to become an affiliate also.

Level 1 - Example:

If you refer Bob to our site and Bob buys "The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit", you will earn $12.

Level 2 - Example:

Let's say you refer Pam to our site and Pam also becomes an affiliate. Now, Pam goes and promotes our site. If visitors that come to our site as a result of Pam's efforts buy "The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit", Pam will earn $12 and you will earn $8. The fact that you can earn $8 as a result of Pams' efforts is what makes this a two-tier affiliate program.

14. There are a lot of affiliate programs – why should I join this one?
While your number one goal to join an affiliate program is probably to make money, you should also ask yourself the following questions:

  • Have I successfully used this product or service myself?
  • If I needed a product or service like this, would I buy this one?
  • How good is the affiliate support? If I sent an e-mail to the company how quickly would they respond?
  • How often do customers request a refund for this product or service?
  • When refund requests are made, how quickly are they provided?
  • Is it a one or two-tier affiliate system?
  • How does the affiliate program ensure that I get paid?

The answers you get to the above questions will greatly determine how much money you can make. Think about it, do you want to associate yourself with a website just to make money, or do you want to feel good about the service or product you are promoting? The reason we listed the above questions is because we can honestly and confidently make the following statements:

  • “The Ultimate Guide To Improving Your Credit” has helped thousands of people.
  • We always respond to e-mail within 24 hours.
  • We have received very few refund requests, and those we received were granted refunds within two business days – no questions asked.
  • newcreditfilesecrets.com supports a two-tier affiliate model.
  • We do our best to ensure affiliates get paid.

15. What happens if I refer someone to your site and they don’t pay online?
Our order form asks them to check the top left corner of their screen and include the referring affiliate if one exists.

16. Can I take the order on my website and send you the information afterwards?
No. For a number of reasons:

  • Our website is very successful when it comes to turning visitors into buyers.
  • We constantly update the website to include new ordering alternatives, product and pricing changes, and promotional offers.
  • It would be unrealistic to expect affiliates to make these changes.

17. Can I send a text link including my affiliate ID out in e-mails?
Yes, and that is often an extremely powerful way to generate traffic. However, as per our affiliate agreement, you can only:

  • Send a text link to individuals that have specifically requested information from you.
  • Send a text link to individuals whose e-mail addresses exist in opt-in e-mail lists that you have legally obtained.
  • IMPORTANT

  • The direct or indirect generation of unsolicited e-mail (SPAM) is illegal and not allowed.
  • You must adhere to the above guidelines. Any deviation from the above guidelines will result in your immediate removal from the affiliate program.
  • All pending and future revenues generated from your efforts will become the sole property of www.newcreditfilesecrets.com.
